This is a very brief comment on the game - hopefully as the 3s continue to play regular match reports will be submitted!!!!

This was played at 12 noon and Valley lost to Sunbury Vets 5-1. The game was not played in a good spirit, which was unfortunate as Valley had quite a few youngsters playing for them! However, Sunbury's worst offender took himself off to hospital after pushing Brandon Lennard about.

Just a quick mention here for the Valley keeper in that game. Adam Brook was making his first appearance for the club at senior level - unfortunately with the way things turned out, he did not get the support and protection of a defence that knew what it was up to. Towards the end of the game I think we had become a bit attack oriented and left Adam exposed for the last few goals and in no way should the scoreline reflect on his keeping rather on our defending - or lack of it! We'll try not to let that happen again.

The main lesson learned is that 3rd team games would be better played after the 1st and 2nd team league games to avoid distraction. Hopefully there will be Mens 3s games arranged for most of the remainder of the season, and this will be born in mind.
