Well it had to be better than last week and it was. We didn't think it would be after the first 10 minutes which saw Wanderers dominate the early possession. However, Valley did eventually wake up and began to get more into the game.
It continued to be a very even game, despite pivotal team member Nicky Collins having to leave the pitch with a damaged ankle (silly bugger trod on the ball ).The home team were awarded a number of penalty corners but were unable to score from any of them. Yet again it was the fitness (and age) that let them down and Wanderers finally broke the deadlock with 10 minutes to go . Valley could not find a reply and that remained the only goal of the game.
Very enjoyable and the opposition were a very nice team who we will look forward to playing again.
