Fitness lets down Valley
So the winning start didn't last long. The first league game of the season saw Valley travel to Old Kingstonians. From their warm up they appeared to be a well drilled side and that proved to be the case once the match began.
The first half was relatively even as far as chances were concerned but the advantage was with the home team who managed to convert two of theirs to Valleys none.
The second half was a different story. The OK's superior fitness told and they added four more goals to their tally without reply. Tarryn Rostenne had a couple of one on one chances that she would usually take with relish but the keeper saved well from both.
Next week we welcome back Emily Randall and Sarah Waite and hope for a more solid defensive performance.
