Free-scoring Valley notch first League win

BHE were on the scoresheet 1st , scoring within 5 minutes with some nice finishing from their CF. Valley took control from here and shortly after the score was level when Tarryn put away a rebound from Helens short corner strike. After some good attacking play, a free hit was won at the edge of the D. Helen made space for herself at the top of the D and smashed home the cross for our second. Valley continued to pressure BHE and Sarah H dinked in (blindly deflected) a miss hit (fantastic cross) from Dawn, around the goalie to make it 3 before half time.

The second half was more of the same. BHE had many good breaks but the defence managed to contain them well. Jez had a great game, especially as she was carrying an injury. Our 4th was scored by Emily P ... yes Emily P ... getting her 1st this season working the goal well with Sarah H. Helen got her second with a good strike from Tarryn's cross to finish the game 5 -1

It was an enjoyable game and played in a good spirit by both teams. Thanks to Bomber & BHE`s umpire, our loyal supporters and Helen for the best teas this season. Also good luck to Hannah with her scan results Monday and possible op Tuesday
