This section of the website is intended to let you know what's happening in the club on playing issues.

Kit
I'm in the process of getting samples for new kit, so in the meantime, please contact your team captains to let them know what sort of kit you need.
Training
Training has now been arranged on Astro on mondays at 20:00 - 21:00. Training is based at Ashford Hockey ClubUmpiring
There are also a number of Level 1 Umpiring courses running this year. Book yourself a place directly if interested.More information can be found here
Playing Committee

To ensure the smooth operation of the club at a playing level, to own and resolve 'club'
playing issues (which may be by delegating to separate task teams), to collect
information and formulate options and recommendations for key playing issues to be
taken to the Exec and potentially be then voted on by the club. To facilitate the
movement of players between teams according to potential, skills and other criteria.
To discuss disciplinary issues (cards etc).
The Playing Committee meetings have also been used in the past to plan umpiring for the month ahead by looking at fixtures to see which team could supply one to the other. The playing committee will also coordinate the annual mixed tournament. |
